Querido Renato,
Allie

I like this writing sample better than my first because it shows my growth from basic self-introduction to formulating an e-mail with a variety of tenses and vocabulary. I practiced my writing skills with both samples and this latter one shows my improvement of skills as well as the fulfilling of my presentational writing goal. My goal aimed at conveying messages with details and reasons. One of the examples as a way of measuring this skill was through a letter. The vocabulary and variety of transitions allows for a sense of spontaneity and demonstrates a proper use of 051 level Spanish. Another one of my personal goals was to become more confident with using a conversational tone as opposed to a textbook, broken Spanish. My writing sample gave me an outlet to practice and showcase those skills and create an exciting writing piece. With the progressive I have made since writing this sample, I see possible ideas to add and change some of the phrasing of sentences using further verb tenses we studied. Overall I was satisfied with my second writing sample and could see much improvement from my writing skills I came into the program with.
